What are the parts of the neuron?
neurons are primary signal cells in the brain. There are four neuron parts: cellular body, dendrites, axon and presynaptic terminals. All of these parts of the neuron cooperate to send signals via neuron to other cells.
The cell body is a place where the metabolic functions that keep the neuron take place. Unifying in the cells of the cells is a core that contains a genetic code. Endoplasmic reticulum, part of the cell that synthesizes proteins, is also located in the cell body.
Dendrity is one of the parts of the neuron involved in signaling. They branch from the body of the cells and create a connection with other neurons. Dendrits receive signals from these neurons that change polarization or electric charge in the cell.
Axon is another part of the neuron that carry electrical signals. It reaches from the cellular body as a trunk of a tree and carries an electric charge called an action potential from the cell body to presynaptic terminals. Axons are covered in white adipose tissue called myelin, toThe target insulates the cell and allows electrical signals to travel faster. The interruption in the myelin shell, called the Ranvier nodes, enables the action potential to regenerate.
where the end of the axon branches is called presynaptic terminals. These terminals reach into the gap between neurons called synapses. They send chemicals called neurotransmitters through synapses to other neurons. Psynaptic terminals usually communicate with dendrites of another neuron, but can also join the cellular body of the neurons or to the beginning or end of the axon.
All parts of the neuron are polarized, which means that the cell has a different electric charge than the surroundings. Usually, the neuron is negatively charged at about -65 milivolte (MV), but this may vary depending on location and type of neuron. Signals from other neurons can change this charge, so it is more positive or negative for a short time.
neurons work essentiallyIn the same way, by sending the action potentials down Axon and releaseing neurotransmitters for communication with other cells. The importance of the report is determined by the place and the way in the brain activated. This means that neurons of communication of visual information act in the same way as neurons communicating muscle movement, but their location says the brain what type of information is processed.
