What is biogas technology?
In the area of renewable energy, biogas concerns systems intended to convert ecological waste products into usable energy. Biogas is a type of gas produced during anaerobic processing of organic substances such as fertilizer, plant mass or even municipal waste materials. Biogas usually consist mainly of methane, with a significant part of carbon dioxide and smaller amounts of other gases such as nitrogen and hydrogen.
Biogas is a flammable substance that burns in a similar way to liquefied oil (LPG), and as such can be used as an alternative to fossil fuels. Biogas production is often achieved by biogas, which is a system that "spends" organic mass for gas production. Biogas technology is often used on farms with the primary goal of checking waste pollution. For example, dairy farms may have significant problems with polluting water sources. Biogas technology allows farmers to deal with this problem with beneficial side effects also to create a newHi sources of energy. For example, a 500 cow farmer could install a system that would process manure produced by cows and could generate sufficient electricity to power the entire dairy system. Systems on a larger scale in some countries collect fertilizers from multiple farm and perform a digestion process centrally in a large plant.
similar biogas technology can be used in wastewater treatment. Waste water contains organic matter, including organic solids, and anaerobic digestion can be used to distribute these solids. This process, often called sludge digestion, can also reduce the level of harmful bacteria in water.
There are three main types of biogas technological hikers: covered lagoon, complete mix and plug flow. All these types spend a fertilizer for the production of biogas. They differ in their efficiency, concentration of solids they can handle and their suitability forVarious climate and applications.
Lagoon Digestory is the simplest type that consists of a storage fund for holding manure and a gas capture cover. This type of technology is suitable for warm climate and is mainly used for liquid fertilizer with a small percentage of solids. Complete digestory mix holds the fertilizer in a heated tank and leave the mechanical mixing device to accelerate the digestion process. The plug-to-flow digestics are more complex biogas technological systems that actively pass through the manure through the system because it is digested.
