What is an absorption process?
The absorption process occurs when the chemical is removed from one gas or liquid by mixing with another current. This process can be used in chemical processing, cooling for food cooling, digestion of human vitamins and minerals, and when plants take nutrients. In chemical processing, absorption is used to remove one or more valuable products from gas or liquid current of mixed chemicals. However, the gas that is taken from the ground during oil or gas drilling is a mixture of several different gases. Different products may be value in other chemical operations, but are not used for house heating. Absorption is used in several different steps to clean methane and remove dirt such as sulfur and water. The unprocessed natural gas is mixed with oil in the processing tank to remove undesirable gases that can later be separated and used later. The stream rich in methane then passes through other reservoirs or blood vessels for further processing.
Water removal is an absorption process that often uses drying, a product based on silica or alumin oxide, which is usually produced as round beads. Fixed emptying is loaded into a vertical tank called the tower and passes gas containing water. Water absorbs on the surface of the dryer because it is hydrophilic, which means that it likes to attach water to its surface. Natural gas leaves the tower dry and drying can be heated later to remove the water and re -used.
glycol -based chemicals, similar to antifreeze used in cars, can also be used to remove water from natural gas or other streams. Glycol can absorb water due to molecular binding in its chemical structure, so it easily removes water from the gas stream. The tower can be used for bubble gas via glycol and glycol -rich glycid can be processed later and reused in many cases.
One method for producing acid forceThe rové uses the absorption process. Sulfur is first burned with oxygen to form sulfur dioxide (so 2 sub>), and then the secondary reaction creates sulfur oxide, or so 3 sub>. This product is mixed with a stream of sulfuric acid, so it absorbs into acid, so it is more concentrated.
At the end of the 20th century, acid manufacturers began to use a double absorption system to minimize the amount of SO
Another use for the absorption process is the removal of carbon oxide or what 2 sub>, from industrial exhaust gases. Power plants and other industrial operations that burn coal or gas, create large amounts of 2 sub> that can create worriesVotní environment. The exhaust gases can be processed in an absorption washing machine, where the 2 sub> is absorbed into the liquid or in some cases on the solid -based substance, which can later be processed for disposal. Carbon dioxide removed in this way is eventually folded, which is considered to be a better environmental option than to allow it to the air.
