Chiropractor is a medical system independent of traditional western medicine. According to the Chiropractors Registration Ordinance of Hong Kong, chiropractors may also be referred to as chiropractors. Available diagnostics, medical techniques and treatment procedures are learned and trained from accredited chiropractic medical schools or their institutes. These medicines and procedures are based on scientific research and clinical experience. Registered chiropractors will fully apply and pay attention to environmental, nutritional and psychological factors when treating patients. At the same time, other treatment procedures including first aid, personal hygiene, public health, rehabilitation and physiology are also taken into consideration. This treatment procedure is designed to help patients restore the overall balance of the spine, skeletal system, nervous system and tendon system. Chiropractor's expertise lies in the nervous and muscular system of the human body. They have received 8 years of professional training to correct spinal misalignment. The chiropractor corrects the spine with hands or instruments. Your chiropractor chiropractor will use his hand to push the spine in a specific direction and position. The strength of the hand will help restore the mobility and adjustment of the spine. In some cases, a spine neurologist or chiropractor will also use instruments to detect subluxation and spinal dislocation.
The functions of the Chiropractor Board are:
(1) Set up and maintain a chiropractor roster; (2) Develop and review the qualification standards for registered chiropractors; (3) Provide advice to the government; (4) Review the qualifications for applying for chiropractors; (5) Receive, review, accept or Refusal of application for registration of a chiropractor or application for renewal of registration; (6) handling of disciplinary offences; (7) keeping a good record of the procedures of the Authority; and (8) fulfilling other requirements prescribed by the Chiropractors Registration Ordinance The Functional Authority launched a voluntary continuous professional development plan on January 1, 2010: Encourage all registered chiropractors to continue their education. This program aims to encourage registered chiropractors to continue to participate in professional development activities. The Hong Kong Association of Practitioners of Chiropractors and the Hong Kong Chiropractic Association are the only institutions that provide continuing professional development courses / activities.
