What is a perineal hernia?
Perineal hernia is a protrusion to the pelvic floor, also known as the perineum. Such hernias are present in humans and are usually caused when part of the organ penetrates into the cavity that surrounds it. Cats and dogs can also have perineal hernia.
The most common hernias are the stomach, known as the hiatal hernia and those related to the abdomen. Hernia is often congenital and inherited and their probable development increases with age. In rare cases, they can be associated with diseases such as Marfana syndrome.
The perineal hernia may be caused by prostate and urine diseases that weaken the pelvic floor. They are also often caused by surgery, including poor pelvic floor reconstruction. Such a reconstruction is difficult if the Coccyx and/or distal troughs have been removed. Constipation and diarrhea can cause a perineal hernia. Atrophied levator or muscles or pudendal nerve disease can also lead to the condition.
thje it many other elements that can cause hernia around the pelvic floor.Liquids and oily tissue first enters the cavity. As the hole evolves, parts of the intestine, rectum or bladder can enter the hernia. Early symptoms of perineal hernia include vague feelings of discomfort and pressure around the rectum. A more developed perineal hernia is shown as a piece on one or both sides of the rectum.
Prosthetic network is one of the methods of perineal hernia treatment, but this can lead to a relatively high level of recurrence due to poor network anchoring. Doctors experimented with ways to solve the problem of anchoring with orthopedics in addition to grafts of pig collagen or human dermis. Another option for the network is the use of the gluteus maximus muscle valve. Successful anchoring of the network is fluids, adipose tissue and organs better contained and protected.
While the hernia may not cause pain or discomfort, it is possible that the area of organs that has fallen into the cavity to get stuck. If this happens, it may beBlood supply to this part of the body cut off. Delay of treatment can also cause organ and gangrene dysfunction. If this happens, emergency surgery is required.
