What is bowenoid papulosis?
Bowenoid papulosis is a skin condition in which pigmented verrus papuly develops on the genitals. These skin lesions similar to the pimple are usually caused by less than a handful of particularly dangerous tribes of human papillomavirus (HPV), a virus responsible for genital warts and can affect men and women. Bowenoid papulosis is considered a precancerous state. In a small percentage of cases, lesions associated with bowenoid papulose may change cancer unless they are monitored. Small red -brown or purple lesions that characterize both conditions are virtually identical to the naked eye. Both also affect similar parts of the genitalia, including penis, vulvů, shy and rectum. However, a medical expert can distinguish between them, but I am exploring a biopsy of suspicious skin lesions under a microscope. At high magnification, bowenoid papulosis will show signs of early cells of cells of cells.
Bowenoid paPulosis is most closely linked to HPV 16 and several other potentially Cancer HPV tribes. Sexually active people are at greater risk for this condition due to its connection with HPV, sexually transmitted infection. Like genital warts, bwenoid lesions spread by direct contact with infected skin, which means that the use of a condom can reduce the risk of closing the condition of an infected sexual partner. Also because of their connection with HPV are women whose partners suffer from bowenoid papulosis, a greater risk of cervical cancer. This is because HPV 16 and several other HPV strains associated with bowenoid papulosa are also associated with cervical cancer.
There was no medicine for the condition, but the flare usually disappears in a few months. If the patient is pregnant, when the Ition is conquered, in most cases it disappears shortly after delivery. Lees rarely become malignant, although they are considered precancerous. There is a small risk, so after three to six monthsshould be reviewed again.
In persistent but still benign cases, lesions can be treated by removing or destruction in the same way as genital warts. This is considered to be the most effective treatment of many people in the medical community. There are a number of procedures to remove lesions, from surgery to the current use of certain types of acid or liquid nitrogen. The attending medical expert will want to continue monitoring the condition after treatment to ensure that it is completely resolved.
