What is Aconite?

Aconite, also known as Monkshood or Wolfsbane, is a high permanent plant with distinctive hood -shaped flowers. Historically, Aconite has been used healing from the days of ancient Greeks, but it was more used as a powerful poison. Modern creams and herbal agents made of a plant are sometimes used for pain relief, but these products are widely considered dangerous, with a high risk of poisoning. Aconite varieties are located in the northern hemisphere. The most common, Aconitum napellus is originally from Europe, but cultivates around the world. This plant costs about 3 feet (1 m) tall, with clusters of blue or purple flowers is from the shape of these flowers that it is called Monkshood. The landscapes sometimes decide to include a monk in flower beds, often next to lower plants. All parts of the plant contain Poisous chemical -called approaches, but concentrations are highest in the root. Aconitin tinctures were also used orally for pneumonia, laryngitis and similar complaints. Modern understanding of toxicology explains the danger of these treatments.
