What are Morgolds?

Monigolds are clear, colorful flowers that come from Mexico, even when grown around the world. In addition to looking attractive, flowers are also edible and have natural pesticide properties that allow them to resist insects. Some gardeners use this property in the garden organically and protect more sensitive species with the barrier of these plants. Any plant in the genus tagetes can be considered a marigold, along with several other flowering plants in the family Asteraceae .
