What is Pentephros?

Prosephros is a small segment of an exclusion or renal system in many types of animals that are suitable for kidney development. The kidney function in species such as ampioxus or Lancelet, a small seabeling that plunges into the floor of the seabed, uses phonephros as their main excretory organ. For more advanced animals, such as mammals, it is a remnant organ that develops first to help in the development of the larger renal organ of the Mesonefros embryo. Primitive fish, such as certain Lamprey species, as well as larval stages of other fish and selected amphibians also have an active phonephros. In addition to people and other mammals, this exists, but has little or no function in reptiles and birds.

Parephos develops as a number of segmented, central embryo bacteria known as Mesoderm in humans over three to four weeks. Glomerulus is also known as Malpighian Tuft and is a series of intertwined capillary blood vessels in the nephron structure that is used to remove urine and toxins from the blood. These liquids are attracted either to the Promefros or Mesonefros directly from the glomerulus.
