What are solid stars?

Fixed stars are all those objects in the sky that do not seem to move in relation to each other, but they seem to still collectively move around the sky. The term "solid" was used in antiquity to distinguish them from "wandering stars", which was the body in the sky that changed the position. In other words, the sun, the moon and the planets in our solar system were referred to as "wandering stars" because they change the position in the night sky. On the other hand, it seems that solid stars remain in a relative position, allowing them to be considered constellations and similar groups.

The idea of solid stars and those that travel is not scientifically accurate, but this term is still used to refer to concepts held in the past. Ancient cosmological models usually decided that the Earth was located in the middle of the universe and that all other observable bodies were around it in some way. It was believed that there were several celestial spheres outside the earth on which the Vario American stars wereY attached, allowing them to move on the ground and remained relatively stationary with respect to themselves. Fixed stars were the bodies that were on such a sphere and moved around the ground together.

All objects that are now referred to as "stars" were solid stars because they seem to move in relation to each other. In fact, these distant stars move and constantly move away from each other and in relation to each other. Most of the objects visible from the ground are inside the Milky Way galaxy, which is a collection of stars and other bodies that include the ground. In addition to the movement of solid stars from each other, it also slowly rotates around the center of the Milky Way and can be in orbit around other bodies.

These objects in space other than solid stars were called wandering stars in the ancient model Univeš. Basically it was the sun, which is the star closest to the ground around which the earth is spinning, the moonand other planets in the Earth's solar system. All these objects seemed to change their position with each other and other stars, because they are much closer to the ground and their movements are perceptible. The movements of many solid stars are so tiny and gentle that there are constellations that remain very similar to how they appeared from the ground thousands of years ago.
