What are the natural sciences?
Natural sciences are one of the three main divisions of science, two of them are social sciences and formal sciences. Chemistry, biology, land science, astronomy and physics are part of natural sciences. There are also disciplines such as biophysics that integrate different aspects of multiple subjects. Before the 17th century, these disciplines were often referred to as "natural philosophy" and lacked the types of experiments and procedures used today.
chemistry
A lot of what defines modern civilization, comes from progress in knowledge and technology caused by examination in natural sciences and chemistry. For example, modern food production can be traced back to the haber-bosch process, which was developed during the First World War. This chemical process allows for the formation of nitrate nitrates from atmospheric nitrogen before relying on biologically fixed nitrogen sources such as cow's trusg amounts of food that different countries produce.
Thanks to the development of biology, especially those in the 20th century, doctors can useTo progress advanced drugs to treat or treat many diseases that were previously fatal. Through research in biology and medicine, the 19th century and earlier, such as Mor and Pox, largely under control. Perhaps even more importantly, the mortality of infants and mothers in industrial countries has been drastically decreased. Biological subfield genetics even allowed scientists to understand the Code of Life itself and recognize the way in which it expresses itself in every person.
Earth Sciences
Advances in science of Earth have allowed humanity to extract a huge number of minerals and oil from the Earth's crust and powered the engines of modern civilization and industry. Paleontology, Subfield science of Earth, provides a window to the distant past of the country, long before people even existed. Through discoveries in geology and similar fields in natural sciences, scientists have better understood the history of the planet and predict changes that cango through in the future.
Astronomy and Physics
physics is in many ways of science that is the basis of all other natural sciences and offered some of the most anticipated 20th century revelations. Among the most important of them was the discovery that the matter and energy are constant and only transfer from one state to another. Through astronomy scientists have discovered a huge amount of information about the universe. In the previous centuries, it was assumed that the entire universe was just the galaxy of the Milky Way, until the series of debates and observations in the 20th century revealed that the universe was literally a million times larger than it had previously imagined.
different types of science
The establishment of a scientific method in the 16th century and the following scientific revolution helped create modern science. Natural sciences are often referred to as "hard science" due to the strong use of objective data and quantitative methods that rely on numbers and mathematics. On the other hand, social sciences such as psychology, sociology and anthropology are knownCE rely on qualitative or non -eric evaluation and tend to have less certain conclusions. Formal sciences, including mathematics and statistics, are of a strongly quantitative nature, but usually do not include the study of natural phenomenon or experimentation.
