What Is DNA Analysis?
DNA sequence analysis is an important means for analyzing the fine structure and function of genes, drawing gene maps, and detecting transgenes. DNA sequence determination is mainly based on the application of DNA endonucleases, synthetases, and high-resolution polyacrylamide denaturing gel electrophoresis. There are currently two methods for sequencing analysis: dideoxy chain termination method of Sanger (1977) and chemical degradation method of Maxam and Gilbert (1977). [1]
