What is Sonobuoy?

Sonobuoy is a device that is dropped into the ocean and is used to collect acoustic data. There are a number of different types of Sonobuoy, which are designed for various applications ranging from anti-case war to whale research. All sonobuy are characterized by the fact that they are very rough, built to withstand serious weather and extreme temperature and pressure, and many of them are also designed to be basically one -off, because the loss of Sonobuoy is quite common. With the development and deployment of the German U-Sun, the Allies realized that they would be helpless against the Germans if they had no way to identify and watch German U-juns. The result was the development of early sonar systems that used sound waves in different ways to identify objects moving across the ocean. The aircraft began to launch Sonobuoys into the Atlantic to follow the course of U-Lis boats, and since then Tslepice, these devices have been improved and redesigned for the range of purposes.

There are two main parts of Sonobuoy: Boy itself and radio transmitter. When Sonobuoy is lowered into the water, the buoys separate from the transmitter, allowing the transmitter to float on the surface of the water while Sonobuoy drops below. As Sonobuoy collects data, he transmits information about the transmitter, which in turn transmits data to an aircraft or ship. If possible, Sonobuoy will be obtained after use.

The basic sonobuoy is simply passive and records the sounds of the water in which it is immersed. These sounds may sometimes be quite interesting because, in addition to the revelation of the passing ship, the sounds of the life of the ocean will also record. Alitarians use Sonobuoys to be careful about submarines and other dangers, while scientists use data to learn more about life in the ocean. Scientific sonobuoy also often collects data on currents, temperatures and pressure.

on the other side of the active Sonobuoy emits the sound waves and then listens, waits for their reflection and using theseData collects information about objects in water. Active sonobuoy can identify the submarine, even if it is on "quiet running", which means that the engines are turned off and all on board are expected to be silence, because the sound waves will be reflected from the fuselage of sub -meat.
