What is an IR thermal camera?

people see a light that includes a range of colors from red to purple or purple, with each color equivalent wavelength or frequency of light. There are wavelengths that human eyes do not see, including long wavelengths below the red, called infrared (IR) and short wavelengths above the purple called ultraviolet (UV). The cameras have been developed to detect these different frequencies and create visible images. Infrared light can be displayed using an IR thermal camera that detects infrared heat from objects. The IR thermal camera can collect these frequencies and convert them to images that point black and white or what is called a false color image. False color uses software to display different colors for heat levels radiated from objects. Thermal cameras are widely used for building energy surveys where the IR camera shows the thermal image of the exterior of the building that can detect the evacuation and windows or the areas of poor insulation.

People and animals also emit infrared heat that can be used for movement detection devices. Safety systems can use infrared cameras that Sense IR, and send the alarm when movement is detected. Motion security systems can use IR technology that can display video pictures of buildings or assets at night. Some of these systems are passive and detect only the IR energy sent by objects. Many systems are active and use IR lighting diodes (LED) to transmit IR energy that is reflected from objects and picked up with cameras.

The

IR thermal camera technology is often used in space satellites to detect weather systems. The satellites orbiting hundreds of kilometers or kilometers above the ground detect light and thermal radiation from weather and storms and transmit images to the antennas on the ground. Weathers can process fake weather colors with visible and invisible light. IR sysThemes are very good in manifesting differences in the heights of the cloud from their temperatures, which can show the intensity of storms even at night.

Digital camera technology can detect Ir energy directly, but the camera film can also be used to take infrared images. The film contains an emulsion or chemical layer that is sensitive to infrared frequencies. Infrared photography can be used for very low light conditions or for special effects using light that is not normally visible to people.

At the end of the 20th century, automotive designers began to include active IR technology for cars and trucks to improve night vision. The systems broadcast the IR frequency from the front of the vehicle and the IR camera collects any reflected energy except any IR from humans, animals or other vehicles. The main display can display the image on the screen directly in the View Drivers, which is a technology adapted to military displays.

IR thermal imaging also uses military and enforcement of the right for night vision. Cameras can be installed on the aircraft in the rotating pods and directed in different directions by a pilot or a member of the crew. Hand infrared cameras on Earth can help detect IR heat sources to search and rescue or military missions.
