What Are Sustainability Indicators?
Sustainable development indicators are indicators that evaluate the entire process of environmental, economic and social sustainable development, pressure, and policy responses. Its indicator system is a complex composed of sustainable development indicators. According to basic functions, they can be divided into three categories: status indicators for measuring environmental quality or environmental status; stress indicators for measuring pressure on the environment; response indicators for measuring the implementation of environmental policies. It is mainly used to explain the changes in nature and the environment, the reasons for changes, and the countermeasures taken by humans. [1]
