What is a distribution statement?
The
distribution statement is included in the official documents to indicate the minimum level of security needed to read it. While most people would assume that distribution statements would only be found in military or government documents, it is not. These statements also use a large number of private organizations, especially large companies, banks and research companies. Although there are many different information security methods, most systems are based on a five -level American military system, a quadrilateral trading system or a quad -e -organization system. If there is a cover page, it is not uncommon for the statement to be printed at the top and bottom of the page. Inside the document, the distribution command is generally found at the top of the first page between the header information. These prominent positions ensure the owner that anyone who reads the document will either have a good permission or intentionally ignore the statement. The highest level is a top secret,Which means only people with the highest clearance levels are able to read the document. He then descends over the level of security: secret, confidential, limited and sensitive, but unclassified. The final level is unclassified and is available to everyone.
Many businesses use a similar distribution system. The basic system has the highest level, followed by private, sensitive and the public. In many cases, this system is much more relaxed than the government version. On the other hand, when trade works heavily with a government or army, it is not unusual for them to accept a similar security system. Tje is particularly common when people in society have a government security clearance as part of their ordinary jobs.
The last common system is best known as the security of the traffic light. This system works on the principle that most people have a rooted view of certain colors. There are red documents to DISPO in this systemZice only at the highest level. Yellow has a wider audience and green documents are available to everyone in the organization. The last color, white, is open to the public.
This system is common when different organizations work on the project. Instead of trying to integrate two different safety systems, the semaphore option is used instead. This system also works well when cooperating organizations do not speak the same language, because a written distribution statement could be misinterpreted. The only limitation is the perception of different colors of the country.
