What does the door shooter do?

Gunner door provides a firepower cover for a helicopter, performance or loading units, as well as other vehicles, ships and aircraft in the immediate vicinity. Commonly armed with a machine gun, the door shooter is able to shoot many rounds in a short time in an effort to prevent enemy forces to fire on the plane. One exception to the machine gun is located at the American coastal guardian of the Gunner door helicopter. This soldier usually uses a sniper rifle that is used to deactivate the engine on a fleeing vessel. When he shoots a weapon or does not provide helicopter coverage, the shooter often helps the chief of the crew before the flight or after the flight of inspections and combat observation duties. For many countries it was a period of Vietnam War. American and allied helicopters were equipped with a machine gun of 0.30, known as the M-60, the aircraft branch door. The earliest soldiers who make the door of the Gunner door have secured the weapon on the rotary defects to provide the coveragelanding zone. The position offered very little coverage and it was not uncommon for the door shooter to hurt or killed any firefighting struggle in the first few seconds.

Many door shooters, frustrated by lack of mobility provided by the swivel handles provided by the M-60, urgently urged the final success to suspend the weapon with rubber straps. This allowed the shooters to move a machine gun to a much larger extent and at the same time to ensure an increased aircraft cover. During the flight, it was typical of the door shooter to explore enemy ground positions while creating detailed mental maps of enemy camps, movements of soldiers and other relevant battle observations. This information was generally provided by Commanders during the Debriefing after Flight.

Other tasks performed by the door shooter are cleaning and maintenance of the aircraft and assistance to the head of the crew with any inspection of the aircraft. Gunner is also trained in basic PRing to help to help all injured soldiers who are loaded on the plane. Always as a pedestrian soldier, the door shooter is always trained in war art and is able to take hand stock and fight if the helicopter is shot down or otherwise deactivated.
