What is the check 21?

The

check clearing for the Act of the 21st Century or check 21 was an act of the US legislative choir, which was approved on October 28, 2003, and came into force a year later. Check 21 changed the way in which inspection payments are processed in the United States and effective communication between US banks. Banks that have decided to use checks of 21 process controls much faster and affect consumers who have a "floating" custom when they write checks. According to the former processing procedures, this rarely represented a problem, because funds would appear before the inspection. Perhaps someone would write a check knowing that further inspection will be settled and that the funds will be stored in time. Or the check could be written with the knowledge that the payout will be received in a few days and that the payout could be paid and stored to clean the first check.

Before check 21, if person A wrote a check to person B, person B would impose a check for their bank account and was informed that the check couldtake several days to clarify. Bank B would send a check to the bank A and the bank and confirmed that the check was valid, and transferred the funds to the bank B. Several days after person B deposited the check, the funds would be deducted from the account of person A and the Bank's balance would increase.

Check 21 regulates electronic communication between banks. Now, instead of having to send physical check to clean it, Bank B can easily send an electronic image. Bank and confirms that the check is valid and immediately converts funds. Using check 21, the bank can clean up only 24 hours to take several days. Bank B would retain real check, rather than sending it to bank A. If a person wanted to have his canceled check, they may ask for a substitute check from their bank. Replacement check is an authorized electronic copy of the original inspection.

Consumers who get their canceled checks back from the bank with each statement can apply for substitute Seky. The requirement for alternative inspections provides more consumer protection and facilitates dispute resolution. In some cases, the bank account cannot be shortened if the customer does not have a substitute check. If the check deletes the account twice or unauthorized control is registered, the alternative check can be used as well as the original to solve the problem. If you have a dispute with a bank, be sure to ask for a replacement check, not a copy, because a substitute control is a legal document that comes with unique rights and protection.

Not all banks transfer images electronically under control 21, although all of them now create alternative checks. In some cases, the bank creates a check paper and send it to the publishing bank to clean it. The original checks are led by a bank where they are stored for a specified time and then destroyed. If you want to find out whether your banking processes check electronically or on paper, talk to the bank administrator, which can also provide more informationabout your rights and protection under control 21.
