What is an APECED?
Apeced means autoimmune polyendocrinocrinopathy-kandidiasis-codermal dystrophy. This disease prevents the immune system in the human body in the fight against infections. The apeced is a genetically inherited disease that affects Finns, Iranian Jews and Sardinians more than any other race. The apeced can be identified by its many specific symptoms including glands and skin. This symptom causes reduced calcium levels in the blood and results in tingling fingers, lips and legs.
