What is aphasia?

Afase is a language disorder that occurs when part of the brain that is responsible for the tongue is damaged. Damage usually happens on the left hemisphere of the brain and can occur quite quickly in cases such as head or stroke damage. Brain tumors can also cause aphasia, but their symptoms can only be seen gradually for a long time. They also have difficulty reading and writing. Monda is a very common cause of aphasia. The incident occurs when brain cells die due to lack of blood reaching the brain, resulting in a lack of vital nutrients and oxygen. Other causes of brain damage are brain infections and serious strokes into the head.

There are three main types of aphasia. The suffering Broca's Aphasia caused damage to the frontal lobe of the brain. They have to make a great effort to speak and speech is usually short, average sentences. A person often misses short words like "is" and "the". Broca's is characterized as a non -functional aphasia due to the short length of sentences.

Broca's people can usually understand the speeches of others. They are also aware of their own speech and how others hear them. This can cause suffering great frustration when trying to produce longer sentences. People with Broca usually suffer from paralysis or weakness of a right arm or leg. This is because the body movement is also responsible for the frontal lobe of the brain.

people who had damage to the temporary brain lobe can suffer from Wernicke's aphasia. This is a smooth aphasia that results in suffering from long sentences that have no meaning. They add unnecessary words or often create new words. They usually do not know about these errors because they have great difficulty understanding of speech. They also usually do not have a weakness of the body because there is no need for a temporary lobe to move the body.

The third type of aphasia is known as global aphasia. This is the result of damage to large parts of the brain. The feelings have extreme communication difficultiesthe verbally and understanding of the tongue.

aphasia usually occurs in middle to later years of life. This may occur in both men and women. It is estimated that about 80,000 people are affected every year and there are more than 1 million patients in the United States. Some individuals are completely recovering without treatment, but a large number of suffering require treatment such as speech therapy. There are also a large number of research studies and new medicines that help suffering now and in the future.
