What is Charcot's Trinity?

The Trinity of Charcot refers to sets of three symptoms that characterize a few diseases. The neurological Charcot's trio, which consists of Nystagm, the intention of tremor and staccato or scanning speech, indicates the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. Alternatively, when referring to gastrointestinal diseases, Charcot's trio refers to a combination of pain of the right upper quadrant abdomen, fever and jaundice.
