What is intellectual damage?
intellectual damage, also known as mental or cognitive damage, is the cognitive functioning that is under normal and that affects everyday life. The internationally accepted definition according to the US Association on intellectual and developmental disabilities (AAIDD) is that intellectual damage is proven when human intellectual function and the ability to adapt to dramatic restrictions, as shown by their social and practical skills. The damage must also come before the age of 18 years. Cognitive damage usually means that a person needs adjustments to educational approaches and in some cases help alive. This does not necessarily mean that one cannot be a positive contributor to society.
When a person has mental damage, their ability to perform mental tasks and problem solving is lower than average. At least this usually means that the individual needs another time to complete what it does. In the worst case, this means that the individual becomes completely out ofOther individuals and needs supervision throughout the day. There is therefore a wide range of intellectual damage. These include mild, medium, heavy and deep. Mild classification means that the individual has an intellectual quotient (IQ) between 51 and 70. Mild mental damage means IQ 36 to 50. Experts give a sign of serious damage when IQ 21 to 35. With IQ 20 or less, the individual is seriously disturbed.
People who are intellectually disturbed show symptoms such as disorganization in learning and understanding abstract constructs. The ability to learn is necessary to adapt and change, so other symptoms are problems with adaptive skills. Examples of adaptiveoblast skills include social interaction, work and health and safety.

Doctors and scientists believe that some cases of intellectual damage are purely genetic origin. Other cases relate to controllable factors such as the use of mothers' drugs - includingNng some prescription medicines - which cause problems in the fetal brain development. Cases of brain damage can also cause problems with mental functioning, but since brain injuries and subsequent cognitive problems have not always resulted in age 18 years old, not all these pTechnically, romes can be classified as intellectual damage according to the definition of the specified AAIDD.
