What is a space frame?
It is mainly used in the context of building construction and car production, the design of the universe is a technique for assembling the structure using the approach of the skeleton type, unlike a traditional piece or ground construction. The advantages of the spatial frame design include weight savings, increased rigidity and greater durability compared to conventional alternatives. Although the concept dates back to 1900, the space framework began to see only extensive adoptions around the turn of the 21st century. This is a concept borrowed by nature, for example, it is known that honeycomb have tremendous strength for their relative mass. Alexander Graham Bell was the first to try to adapt this idea to the construction of a man in 1900, specifically with the production of lighter and stricter flying machines. Although Bell, in a large part of his particular persecution, failed another big name in science, Buckminster Fuller, took the roots of space frame theory and adapted them to building a design with much greater success around the mid -20th century.
In architecture, space frames are most commonly used in large roofs, albeit experimental buildings such as geodetic domes known as Biospheres, located in Oracle, Arizona and Montreal in Quebec, are designed exclusively by technology. The best way to devise the roof of the space frame is the extended version of the crane portal, with angle, intersection struts that move back and forth through horizontal beams. Space, extended by a football playground or a similar layout of the arena types becomes cost -effective and more attractive solutions compared to the use of a number of columns or other hunting techniques. In addition to the less needed material, simpler design requires less work and lasts longer, with reduced need for routine repairs or maintenance.
In the automotive construction, the design of the universe was generally discarded in favor of monococcal design by the manufacturing industry. Pick the topHowever, car manufacturers-including Acura®, Audi® and Lamborghini & Reg, are still creating and developing new cars with a range. In cars, the design of the universe consists of placing different parts of the car on a tubular frame in an almost modular way. This offers the same advantages over the traditional body design on the frame as the architecture of space frames over traditional buildings. Monocoque remains largely a design school for cars, but partly because of security considerations that are irrelevant in architecture.
