What is a fritos® cake?

Fritos® Pie is a traditionally consisting of chili, cheese, onion and corn chips brand Fritos®. The recipe is popular in the United States, especially in the southern region. Over time, many variations of the recipe have evolved, including adding watering such as sour cream, tomatoes or even mustard. Fritos® Pie is usually served as a casserole, but some people decide to serve portions in a single Fritos® serving bag. One of her creations was Fritos® Pie. Daisy Dean Doolin shared her recipe and became very popular among her friends and family. Finally, the recipe became very popular with the public. Now it is a food that is recognized by many people. The onions are preference at the top of the food finely chopped. The grated Chedar cheese is often used, although some people prefer to use molten processed cheese. When consuming a Fritos® cake, Fritos® corn chips should be moistened with watering, but not mushy.

Many people prepare Fritos® Pie as a saucepan. This version is usually made first by placing the Fritos® layer on the bottom of the baking pan. Then chilli and cheese are added and another layer of Fritos® can be added to the top before the bowl is baked in the oven. Other toppings are added just before eating at the table. Many families use this recipe regularly because of its easy preparation and also the low cost of ingredients.

One variation of Fritos® cake is served in an open single serving bag Fritos® Chips. In making a bowl with a Fritos® bag as a serving bowl, chilli and cheese are mixed with Fritos® and then adding tops. This type of portion is popular at trade fairs, sports events and other public gatherings. Several restaurants also have a version of food on their menu.

Over the years, this recipe has been modified by many domestic chefs. Some people use battered and fried onions as a substitute for raw slicedonion. Other toptings that have become popular include salsa and pickled jalapenos. Variants also include versions that can be prepared in a microwave.
