What is a sailboat?

Sailfish is a type of fish that occurs in most of the world mild and tropical oceans. There are two types of fish, Indo-Tichoral sailboats and Atlantic sailboats, although two two have very similar sizes, behavior and appearance. Both fish are Istiophorus, which is part of the Istiophoridae Fish family.

This is a very large fish. Indo-pacific sailboat will normally grow to a length of approximately 9 feet (2.7 meters) and weigh more than £ 220 (100 kg). The smaller variety of the Atlantic is still very large and usually grows to a length of about 8 feet (2.4 meters) and weighs up by £ 132 (60 kg). Both share common physical and behavioral characteristics.

The most remarkable physical properties of the sailboat is his long account, which resembles the character of the swordfish and the feature that is named; Its large dorsal fin, which resembles a sail. The saucepan stretches over the back of the fish, although it is usually kept folded to the side. When the fish is either enthusiastic or in danger, the fins become an erect. This defensive posture makes the fish look much larger than it really is.

The sail also serves a different purpose when the fish hunt. Sailfish primarily eats smaller fish and octopus, and a sail can be used to help the "herd" to large groups of small prey to compact schools or packages, making it easier to sail the sailboat that usually hunt in groups to pick up the fish one by one. Two fish species are found in the oceans on which they are named, usually in any area with a mild to tropical climate. Both species prefer swimming and hunting at the upper depths, but up to 220 yards (200 meters) were seen. It seems that there is a certain overlap between the species, so that some scientists consider them a unique species. This point was not agreed by many who studied the animal.

The Sailfish is a very popular commercial and gaming fish. Sports fishermen consider SAIlfish for one of the most difficult fish that successfully catches them, thanks to its incredible strength and speed. When jumping fish speed was measured at 68 km / h (110 km / h). Commercial fishing often sells fresh fish and is usually prepared smoked, grilled or baked. The Sashimi and Sushi restaurant also often serve raw fish.
