What is collagen protein?

Collagen protein is one of the family of proteins found in mammals. These proteins are particularly abundant in muscle and connective tissues, as well as in the skin, cartilage and blood vessels. Collagen protein is a critical part of healthy tissue structures in most areas of the body and can lead to serious physical diseases and premature aging.
