What is Green Licorice?

In most cases, "Green Licorice" refers to the green candy that resembles the appearance of licorice, but in fact it is flavored to taste like a green apple. As such, it is called Candy "Licorice" in the wrong name, but it is commonly accepted because of the style of candy and the overall presentation. The real liquorice of candies is flavored with extracts from the liquorice plant or from a similar taste of anise. In some cases, Green Licorica is actually a candy with licorice, which is artificially colored green, or otherwise surrounded by green -colored shell. That's more unusual.

They are often made of crispy candy, which in most cases is unwilling. White and black are the most traditional colors for Licorice with Pastilles flavor, but some manufacturers use different colors, whether for different seasons or special orders. It is rare to see Green Licorica Pastilles, but it's not unheard of.
