What is Raja Yoga?
Raja Yoga is translated as Raja , which means "royal" and yoga , which means "Union". This concept refers to individuals associated with the divine. In Hindu philosophy, Raja Yoga is considered to be classical yoga and one of the six Astika (Orthodox) Yoga Schools.
The great sage Patanjali introduced eight limbs of Raja yoga in yoga sutures. The aim of this royal discipline is to establish a student in experience with the unity with God. Yoga techniques are a progressive fiber that intertwines the student on the way to enlightenment.
These techniques include personal behavior ( yama ), devotion ( niyama ), integration between the body and mind through the physical positions of yoga ( asan ), disruption of the senses () concentration ( dharan ) transcendence of thinking, body and emotion or pure consciousness ( self -consciousness ). According to Hindi philosophy, his real understanding and knowledge of him may beand fully realized.
Hindi philosophy stems from Vedo and explains the universe and laws of nature as gods or the personification of specific aspects of nature. Specific deity is the result of any natural influence and follows this area of existence. These verbal traditions were handed over from the Lord to the pupil in the form of stories and analogies that could easily be remembered and become part of life.
Difficulty with all forms of yoga is that it will wander and will not be able to establish itself in a state of being or pure consciousness. The reason is dirt in the body and mind. Every emotional and physical experience we have is able to cause slight adjustment, distortion and influence of a clean mind or pure state of being. This in turn keeps the mind in the transition from thought to the idea, desire and searching for some unrecognized needs and prevents the mind from settling into a quieter state.
