The bronchus branches gradually in the lung to less than 1mm in diameter, and the cartilage on the wall disappears, which is called bronchioles.
Bronchioles: Many longitudinal folds on the lumen surface, the mucosal epithelium is a single layer of ciliated columnar epithelium, the smooth muscle is significantly thickened, and the cartilage pieces disappear.
