What are some alternative energy sources?
Alternative energy sources are derived from sources that do not use natural resources and do not damage the environment. They are alternatives to fossil fuels, nuclear energy and extensive hydroelectric power, all exhaustive energy sources that have different degrees of harmful effects on the environment. Yet there are no alternative energy sources that are as viable as oil, which, together with coal, is the main types of fossil fuels. The primary method used to convert sunlight into electricity is by using photovoltaic cells that are arranged on solar panels so that the maximum amount of sunlight absorbs and converted into electricity. Currently, solar energy is the biggest problem with solar energy, because solar cells and panels can be very expensive.
Another alternative energy source is the wind energy that uses large turbines to transform wind into electricity. Many of these turbines can be placed where the wind isLight, and wind farms can be connected to the power supply to which they contribute electricity. The windmill can also be used to use wind energy, but rather than turning the wind into electricity, converting the wind directly into mechanical movement to work.
Some alternative energy sources accept strength from earth sources, such as geothermal power, tidal power and biomase. The geothermal force is derived from heat sources on Earth, such as natural geysers, and converts this heat into electricity. The use of the power of the waves in the ocean and other water bodies on the planet is known as a tidal force. The energy of biomass is obtained from organic material that comes from plants and animals, and is known more commonly renewable energy source because it creates a by -product of waste. All these alternative energy sources must be heavily explored if some of them sometimes replace fossil fuels as primary energy sourcesall over the world.
