What Is Marine Aquaculture?
Marine aquaculture methods are various methods of breeding and growing economic animals and plants in specific water bodies under artificial control and management. Marine aquaculture mainly includes two parts: seed production and cultivation. Different breeding methods are different, but the common point of various breeding methods is to create suitable environmental conditions based on the ecological habits of the breeding objects, promote the mass reproduction and rapid growth of the target organisms, and produce more in a certain body of water. Many aquatic products meet people's needs. Farming objects can generally be divided into four categories: fish, shrimp, shellfish, and algae. Farming methods include onshore tanks, pond farming, shallow tidal flats, net farming, shallow raft culture, and shallow sea cage culture. There are three types of seed for breeding: full artificial seed, semi-artificial seed and natural seed. [1]
