What is the endocannabinoid system?

Endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a set of signaling molecules in the middle and peripheral nervous system that helps regulate body processes such as appetite, pain, mood and memory. The signaling molecule is a chemical that transmits information from the cell to the cell. In the endocannabinoid system, these molecules are primarily indicating lipids called endocannabinoids , oily molecules that bind to receptor proteins to give an answer. The chemical composition of endocannabinoids and the answers they induce are imitated closely by drug hemp, which is sometimes prescribed to induce an increase in appetite, reduce pain and lifting mood.

Endocannabinoid is an example of a ligand or molecule that binds to proteins to form a signal response. In the endocannabinoid system, these ligands exist in cells in the middle and peripheral nervous system. The nervous system is a network of signaling tissues that collects sensory input, processes this information and thenIt allows the body a coordinated response to stimuli. Sensory input can be internal or external for body, sensing factors such as outside temperature, body temperature, acidity in the blood, blood pressure, sounds, monuments, odors and body pressure. The central nervous system includes only the brain and spinal cord, while the peripheral nervous system includes all nerve cells outside the brain and spinal cord.

Endocannabinoid system includes two main ligands, anandamide (AEA) and 2-aachidonoylgycerol (2-A), which are produced and released inside the body in response to an electrical impulse called depolarization. The cells are assumed that the cells produce endocannabinoids as they are needed rather than a constant supply in the cell. Ligands are then released to the synapses or the space between the nerve cells and other cells are taken. Ligands then bind to two cannabinoid receptors, CB1 and CB2 to create an answer.

Anandamide prefers vasesAT with a CB1 receptor, which is usually placed in the central nervous system, but is also found in some tissues of the body. The 2-AG endocannibinoid binds equally to the CB1 receptor and the CB2 receptor, located in the peripheral nervous system. There is evidence of the third ligand called Nolaladin Ether, which is tied more strongly to CB2, although there is a debate on whether the substance can actually be called an endocannibinoid. Two other endocannabinoids called N-Aachidonoyl-Dopamine (NAPA) and Virodhamine (EOE) have recently been discovered and are tied more strongly to CB1 and CB2.

In the 80s, it was found that chemical compounds in cannabis bind to cannabinoid receptors in the nervous system, as well as endocannabinoids bind to cannabinoid receptors. Three basic cannabinoids present in cannabis are tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabidiol (CBD) and cannabinol (CBN), but there are many substances that interact with the endocannibinoid system. It is assumed that those who bind to CB1 are responsible for lifting mood and anti -vulzive properties of the drug. It is assumed that cannabinoids that bind to CB2L pain.
