What is the Triassic-Jurassic event?

The Triassic-Jurassic EXTICTION event, which has occurred worldwide about 200 million years ago, is one of the five main mass extinction over the last 600 million years. It is estimated that 50 percent of all species have disappeared. Some paleontologists call triassic-jurassic extinction the second largest mass extinction of prehistoric times. It happened in the blink of a geological eye, no more than 10,000 years. They threw many therapies, which were also called "mammals similar to reptiles", although they were neither mammals nor reptiles. They were also erased by all the big Crurotarsans-Nedinosaurus Archosaurs, the ancestors of modern crocodiles, alligators and gavial fabrics-most of the large amphibians who were dominant to this point. The first mass extinction of the mesozoic era, the triassic-jurassic extinction event is often considered to determine the land for the dominance of dinosaurs. Dinosaurs probably presented before the mass extinction1-2 percent of the Earth's fauna, but then, when they took over the niches from extinct species, came to represent about 50-90 percent of the fauna.

The cause of the Triassic-Jurassic event is unknown. Unlike some other mass demise of the past, there was little evidence around any particular interpretation. Some hypotheses include the impact of meteor and volcanic traps or massive permanent eruptions over a million years.

volcanic eruptions could have caused secondary and tertiary effects such as global warming or cooling, methanules of hydrate, reduce oxygen levels in the oceans and others. Until more evidence occurs, scientists cannot be sure. However, this may not happen. Ocean Crust has been recycled every 50 million years, so any main impact craters from meteors or comets have been probably erased.

Time period immediately after the triassic-Jurassic extinction was essential, thereforethat empty niches could have been filled with either reptiles such as dinosaurs or therapy that includes mammal ancestors. In the end, it ended up with the victory of dinosaurs, but if the therapsis were prospering and diversified instead, mammals could develop more than 150 million years earlier than in reality. It could have been just a coincidence that delayed the development of mammals until the dinosaurs themselves were not subject to further mass extinction about 135 million years later.
