What was the Jurassic period?

The Jurassic period was the geological period in the middle of the mesozoic. It extends about 200 million years ago 145 million years ago. During the Jurassic period, the dinosaurs continued their dominance on the ground, while the sea occupied sea reptiles such as ichthyosaurs, Plesiosaurs and sea crocodiles.

The Juro period is one of the periods of life on Earth to the most famous average person because it has been extensively romanticized since the initial discovery of dinosaurs fossils in the early nineteenth century. The whole mesozoic is referred to as the "age of dinosaurs", as well as a newer quotation is called the "age of mammals". The largest Sauropods were the largest earthly animals that ever existed. Biomechanics experts think that the largest sauropods have come close to the theoretical limits of the size, that land animal can be and still support their own massive weight. Some of these animals were so great that she had brains in her tail because their nerve impulses could not travel fast enough to the reach of herh huge bodies!

The first birds developed during the late Jurassic period and one of the most famous fossils of Archeopteryx dates 150 million years ago. Pang's fringe was covered with huge evergreen forests with conifers as high as in the largest modern forests.

Rather than being filled with birds, the sky was occupied by flying Plezni pterosaurs to be the first vertebrates to evolve. Although sometimes erroneously referred to as "dinosaurs", the term dinosaur refers specifically to the dinosaurii Superorder, consisting only of ground reptiles with a unique upright attitude. The sea was occupied by ichthyosaurs, balls and mosasaur, because the snake was since then after the extinction of Permian-Triassic.

During the Jurassic period, the world is gradually warmer and wetter, allowing more forests on the continent of Pangea. Pangea began to spread slightly. The greater proximity of the growing amountThe soil for water modulated extremes of temperature, allowing ecological stability and growth of huge fresh forests.
