What are night vision glasses?
Night vision glasses usually apply to the number of glasses, binoculars, glasses or binoculars that use special means to increase vision at night. Some use thermal vision, others use image amplifier and others use active infrared radiation. They can range from simple consumption products that cost less than $ 100 in USD (USD) to top glasses that can cost many thousands of dollars.
There are two main categories of night vision: active and passive systems. Active systems use equipment for bathing an area in invisible light, usually in an infrared range between 700 nm-1000nm, and then have a special camera to see this light range. Active night vision glasses are used by consumers and for basic safety, such as CCTV cameras and local enforcement of law, but are not particularly useful for military applications, because the release of light can be perceived by the enemy using night vision devices. Passive glasses for the nightThe vision collects the surrounding light, usually given by the stars and intensify it so that the viewer can recognize the details. In addition to these four, there is a fifth category of night vision of Omnibus-VII, which are significantly more advanced than the latest generation, but has not yet been classified as a real next generation. Generations range from generation 0 to generation 3 omnibus-vii.
The earliest night vision glasses, known as generations 0, were used during World War II as observation devices for sniper. Goggles of generation 0 were active, occupied infrared light, and this was this active nature that led to generation 0, because many people are not considered to be real military class devices. These glasses continued to be used during the Korean War, but were discarded in the lead until the Vietnam War.
Generation 1 Night Vision Blasses first saw useFields in the Vietnam War and it was the first passive device used. They used the S-20 photocathodes and were extremely bulky while providing only about 100 times the light reinforcement, so they require a relatively bright monthly light to work well. Generation 2 uses a micro -channel plate to gain significantly more amplification of light than generation 1 and some night vision glasses of modern generations 2 have up to 20,000 times amplification, along with significantly increased resolution.
TheGeneration 3 device is built from Generation 2 by continuing to use the micro -channel board. Instead of simpler used early photocathodes, however, these devices use a new type of photocathode created with Gallium arsenide. This gives them a much better resolution than the earlier generations and increases reinforcement up to 50,000 x. Omnibus-vii devices, WHILE technically still generation 3, are sometimes referred to consumers as goggles of nocturnal vision generation 4. This device level uses technology called autogting,In order to change quickly as light conditions change, so visibility is maintained in the middle of clear explosions or flares.
