How Do I Become a Flight Engineer?
The flight engineer mainly checks the aircraft before and after takeoff, and checks the aircraft's systems during the flight, including hydraulic control, fuel consumption, cabin pressurization, and power systems. In some military aircraft, flight engineers will conduct a full inspection before the flight. Basically, a flight engineer is an aircraft system expert who is responsible for solving aircraft system problems, providing solutions to flight emergencies, and calculating takeoff and landing data. - Flight engineers need to learn flight principles,
- 1. Make a brief introduction to aircraft performance.
- 2. Develop route analysis and fixed fuel gauges.
- 3 Production of performance analysis reports for airlines operating on routes.
- 4 Make correct judgments on route analysis. [1]
- The professional qualification is divided into three levels: assistant flight engineer, flight engineer, senior flight engineer.
- Flight engineers must have certain skills, such as fuel monitoring and aircraft performance monitoring; performance analysis of special airports and routes; production and release of aircraft weight documents; review of manifests, provision of electronic versions of manifests for stowage balance, and urging them to complete cardboard Production and printing of manifests; maintenance of aircraft performance data on FOC systems and computer flight planning systems. - I. Assistant Flight Engineer:
- 1. Bachelor degree or above;
- 2. Fresh graduates with junior college or above qualifications and equivalent practical experience;
- Flight Engineer:
- 1. Those who have passed the certification of assistant flight engineer;
- 2. Graduates with a postgraduate degree or above;
- 3. Bachelor degree or above with equivalent academic ability and engaged in related work for more than one year;
- 4. College degree or equivalent, and have engaged in related work for more than two years.
- 3. Senior Flight Engineer:
- 1. Those who have passed the certification of flight engineer;
- 2. Postgraduate or above with equivalent academic ability and engaged in related work for more than one year;
- 3. Bachelor degree or above with equivalent academic ability and engaged in related work for more than two years;
- 4. College degree or equivalent academic qualifications and engaged in related work for more than three years.
- Those who pass the vocational skills appraisal and certification exams will be issued the "Registered Professional Qualification Certificate" stamped with the national professional qualification certification center (JYPC) vocational skill appraisal stamp.
- The exams are taken four times a year for April, June, October, and December. The specific examination date, place and method shall be notified separately by the examination institution or training institution where the candidate is located.
