What is a smart crowd?
Smart Mob is a collection of collected people who work together using information technology for a particular purpose. These crowds meet for a number of reasons, including everything from political protests to celebrities, or even for the purpose of providing complicated practical jokes. The ability of the crowds to communicate and organize spontaneously has added a new dimension of efficiency that has never seen spontaneous behavior of the crowd before, and this had many serious consequences for society, even plays a role in the overthrow of some governments. Sometimes an intelligent crowd is something that happens in an organic way without specific planning, while at other times it may be more organized, but in both cases the crowd's behavior will be generally more intelligent than the normal crowd of people.
According to historians, crowds of protesters and other groups of people have always had the potential to cause political change in Societies. In the course of history, there were great riots and other events that brought great attention to serious problems and led to hugem by disturbing the political landscape. Since the crowds were not well organized, they were generally defenseless against authorities that could communicate and coordinate each other, and this facilitated manipulation of groups from the perspective of government regimes. The development of modern communication technology has changed this dynamics in many ways.
Intelligent crowd will generally rely on a number of technological tools for working in a coordinated way. These include mobile phones for speaking and text messages, along with computers equipped to access the Internet. Much of planning often happens on various social networks on the Internet, and then in the middle of a protest or event, the crowd can negotiate immediately with any change in communication through portable tools such as mobile phones. This ability to communicate without distance or time restrictions can be an intelligent crowd very agile. For example, if the poisonPart of the crowd will notice that the police are heading in a certain direction, they can warn the rest of the crowd so that they can disperse before the police arrive, and at the same time the planning to meet somewhere else and continue their activities.
Sometimes an intelligent crowd is completely unplanned and happens in an organic way. For example, if a shopper is in a store when someone announces a surprising sale, and he or the text of a companion elsewhere can lead to a chain reaction. Within minutes, a whole crowd of people can descend in the store, everyone wants to buy an item that has been discounted. This kind of spontaneous behavior often leads to crowds of people who surround or chase celebrities that were initially seen only by one person with a communication device.
