What is Effction?
The term Effice is most often used to describe the process that the cervix goes through to prepare for childbirth. The food is located at the bottom of the uterus, where it extends into the vagina. Normally, the cervix in the shape of a small, squat cylinder with the central opening, which remains firmly closed for most of the time. During menstruation, the cervix opens slightly, called dilatation to allow to pass through menstrual fluid. Improving the cervix means that it is flattening and thinning to allow even more expansion before giving birth, so the fetus can pass into the vaginal channel.
Improving the cervix is a gradual process. Towards the end of pregnancy, many women experience Braxton Hicks contraction. These contractions are sometimes referred to as false work, but are considered to be part of Effesting. Braxton hicks contractions usually painless and sometimes imperceptible, cause the uterus to tighten for a few minutes.
Before efficient, when the cervix is thick and tight, it is considered to be 0% effect. At a time when the fetus is ready to pass through the vaginal channel, the uterine uterus, which is the thin and 100% effect. Part of the cervix, which extends into the vagina, is usually about 1 - 1.5 inches (2.54 - 3.8 cm). Therefore, when the cervix is 50% effective, shortened and thinned to about 0.5 - 0.75 inches (1.3 - 1.9 cm). This is measured in the first phase of work by periodic tests. As Effice proceeds, as well as dilatation that occurs during the first phase. Once both efficiency and dilatation are 100%, the second phase of work begins and the woman begins to push.
Sometimes women reach the end of pregnancy without cervix, which show any signs of effecting. In this case, a doctor may recommend vaginal suppositories or other treatments to encourage the cervix to soften. This triggers efficiency and expansion. However, this type of procedure is usually reserved for women who are considered delayed. It is always best to leave birth naturally, but if a woman exceeds what is considered to be a suitable gestational period, doctors may start pregnancy by softening the cervix first. Most doctors do not consider the fetus to be delayed up to the 40th week of pregnancy.
