What is a computer laboratory?
A computer laboratory is a cluster of computers that are usually connected and available for public use. Laboratories often occur in public buildings such as libraries, schools such as universities and universities, community centers and some large churches that many parishioners have. Almost all computer laboratories offer users access to Internet and provide software that students can use to research and complete homework, or that others, such as travel entrepreneurs, may need for other purposes.
The Internet café differs from a computer laboratory in that users have to connect to the Internet using their own computer or device, and computer laboratory users do not need their own equipment. The public is available within the networks. Users can be denied access to adult websites or adult sites that require too much bandwidth. Those who use a computer laboratory machine, whether you surf the internetu or you are using software to perform another work. There is rarely a fee for the use of public computer laboratories, but laboratories in educational facilities are only available to existing school students and usually have to apply for their activities to be traced and monitored if necessary.
More hardware, such as printers and sometimes scanners, compact disk units (CDs) and digital disk units (DVDs), are also available for free or for a nominal fee. The headphones can also be freely provided for users visiting websites with sound or video files that need to be played, or users who just want to enjoy watching a movie or listening to music while working. Files created by computer laboratories can usually be stored on a universal serial bus (USB), also known as a jump, inch unit ora pen drive so that they can take their work.
network administrators are almost always very concerned about security in the computer laboratory that is accessible to the public. Antivirus software for malicious code protection and programs that allow laboratory monitors and administrators to immediately take remote control over the computer are usually installed and regularly updated so that the network is safe for all users and their files. Although most computer laboratories are running on Microsoft Windows®, some laboratories, especially those in educational devices, operate Linux distribution such as Fedora, Ubuntu or Debian.
