What is the console bridge?
The
console bridge is designed using console, which are horizontal structures supported at only one end. With the right materials and engineering, the steel bracket bridge can cover over 1,500 feet (460 m). This type of bridge is used for pedestrians, trains and motor vehicles. The consoles are particularly useful for bridging the waterway without dividing it with river moths. With this new invention, Gerber was able to extend the consoles and build a bridge that was long enough to cross the German main river. The simple console bridge is 1,800 feet long (549 m). In Scotland, Forth Bridge is another famous console bridge. Made of steel, Forth Bridge uses balanced brackets on rivers and on the ground to create a combined range of 3,300 feet (1,006 m). A common example of a small console is a diving plate. One side is firmly attached to the ground so that the other side can maintain a person's weight hanging above the water. The consoles must withstand the voltage in the upper supports and compression in the dorslunar.
Sometimes the gap or waterway is too wide to bridge it on each side of one bracket. In this case, a beam bridge or a lattice bridge is often placed between the arms of both brackets and connects them into one bridge. This type of bridge is known as a suspended bridge.
balanced console is another technique for bridging over long distances. In this situation, engineers build a pier in the middle of the river. Then they anchor two cantilever pier, each pointing in the opposite direction from the other. These brackets or anchor arms encounter other console anchored in the ground or other pier to create one whole bridge.
The first step in the construction of the console bridge is the position and connection of the arms to the coast. Greeks for balanced brackets should not be built until consoles that touch the ground are completed. If a beam bridge or a truss bridge is required, it cannot be added untilConsoles will not be prepared. The beam bridge is often built out of the place and lowered with the crane to the position.
