What Is an Industrial Region?

Industrial zone refers to the planning of urban development strategy. It is necessary to determine industrial land of various natures, such as machinery, volunteers, and manufacturing industries, and arrange various industries in different locations to form various industrial zones.

The number of national eco-industrial demonstration parks under construction through planning and demonstration reached 39, of which the national eco-industrial demonstration parks that passed the inspection were 12. Due to the different formation conditions and locations of industrial zones, they can be divided into three types.

Urban industrial zone. Mostly composed of processing industry enterprise groups, most of which are gradually formed on the basis of superior geographical conditions. Under normal circumstances, its internal structure is relatively coordinated and has close production links, which often reflects certain characteristics of the urban economy. According to the production nature of the industrial enterprise group, it is divided into two categories: one is a professional industrial zone, such as the electronics industrial zone in Beijing, China, the iron and steel industrial zone in Shanghai, and the power machinery industrial zone in Harbin; and the other is mainly in some Small and medium-sized cities are generally built as comprehensive industrial zones due to the small number of industrial enterprises. Such as Shenyang Tiexi Industrial Zone in China, Beijing Dongjiao Industrial Zone and so on. ^[1]
