What is the safety and health management at work (OSHA)?
Health and safety management (OSHA) works under the Ministry of Labor of the United States. In 1970 it was founded in 1970 to solve and prevent risks and injuries of workers caused by dangerous practices in the workplace. Its task is to define a safe work environment and promote a safe work environment.
Historically, many critics of Osha complained that its regulations tend to be quite burdensome and sometimes difficult to follow. They are not necessarily uniform and are not enforced by equality. However, the agency was working on the development of significant changes in security measures at various workplaces. For example, OSHA instructions for the disposal of Sharps (used needles) have now made hospital workers much less susceptible to the contraction of serious illnesses such as hepatitis and HIV.P views of IC. However, the agency was not allowed to enforce new rules requiring safer positions, although it was allowed to print brochures on multiple ergonomically healthy positions for workers. ManyEmployers in production companies have been happy to introduce these proposals because about 33% of work injuries are caused by an ergonomically unhealthy body location. Just as they cause problems for workers, this causes problems for employers, because it may have to pay for the retraining of workers for other positions or injuries incurred in the workplace.
Although OSHA has published many security regulations in the workplace, it is allowed to prosecute companies that cause the worker's death due to negligence. The maximum conviction for successful prosecution is a total of six months. Sometimes the agency will cooperate with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which will prosecute more efficiently and with longer convicts. This is especially the case where death is caused by exposure to dangerous substances.
Many companies consider OSHA's work difficult, but over time the agency has been able to consistently enforceat certain regulations. Occasionally, it is burdened with contradictory state regulations because many US states have their own security department at work.
The number of recommendations published by OSHA in the first decade of the 21st century was very limited, but there is hope that the agency can be revived if it is more aggravated by intentional violations of its standards and instructions that result in serious injuries or deaths. The effort to revitalize OSHA is primarily led by trade unions and members of the Congress friendly.
