- Born in February 1935
- Professor Zhang Shaoji has been engaged in schistosomiasis and tumor epidemiology for a long time. He has systematically carried out studies on the ecological laws of Oncomelania hupensis in Poyang Lake Caozhou. He first proposed the criteria for schistosomiasis susceptibility zones with positive snail density as an indicator and through the control of livestock (till cattle) ) Achieving the control theory of eliminating infectious sources, providing a scientific basis for schistosomiasis control planning and countermeasure formulation in Poyang Lake District, is an expert in schistosomiasis control with significant influence in China.
