What Is Peak Water?
Gaofeng Reservoir is located at the junction of Guantang Township (now merged into Yeshan Town) and Zhengji Town, Tianchang City, Anhui Province. It is about 12 kilometers away from Tianchang City, adjacent to the Chuanqiao Reservoir, and controls 25 square kilometers of upstream water from the Yuwang River. It belongs to the Baita River system of the first tributary of the Huaihe River Basin. The Chuanqiao River is a larger tributary of the Baita River system. The Yuwang River merges with the Chuanqiao River into the main Baita River in Tianchang City and flows into Gaoyou Lake.

The downstream area of the reservoir protection is 86.75 square kilometers, the cultivated land is 51,200 acres, and the population is 54,000. It is 12 kilometers away from the Tian Great Wall and 10 kilometers from the Tianye Highway. Caozhou and Tongzha three small () reservoirs have a controlled area of 3.4 square kilometers and the net incoming water area of the reservoir is 21.6 square kilometers. At present, during the dry period of the reservoir, water is used to irrigate farmland, and there are a lot of aquatic products such as wild fish, hairy crabs and so on. [1]
