What is a mattress?
The stitch mattress is a common stitch used to close the wounds. It is a broken stitch, which means that every stitch is tied before the creation of another stitch. It is strong and can be used to close relatively wide wounds. There are two basic variations: vertical and horizontal.
The vertical mattress includes two deep penetrations or bites and two shallow bites, all on the same vertical line that is perpendicular to the wound. The boss enters the tissue, passes under the surface of the tissue and through the wound and leaves on the other side. First, two shallow bites are produced, followed by a deep bites and returns to the side of the wound, where the needle first entered to tie the ends. The vertical and horizontal thighs of the mattress are usually tied using a square node.
Because it actually has two anchors in deep and shallow penetration, along the same linear path, the vertical mattress has a stehe power. A good surgeon even creates symmetrical stitches, piercing tissue with the same depth and width from the wound. Irregular stitches canresult in another fear.
The horizontal thigh mattress requires four deep penetrations, in a rectangular pattern, each bite indicating the corners of the rectangle. Sometimes it is used as a basting stitch to hold tissue in its right place to make other interrupted stitches. In this case, the horizontal stitch would be removed after other stitches were in place.
variation of the horizontal stitch mattress is half built -in horizontal stitch. It is commonly used to close the angle. In this case, sewing enters the tissue outside the wound point, followed by a curved path including the entrance point and hips and leaves the tissue near the entrance point. The shame form a shape circle under the tissue, with only tied ends on the outside.
both horizontal and vertical stitches pose a risk of strangulation when bound too tight. Strengthening stitches or their support by small pieces of material can reduce UškRemove and remove stitches as soon as possible. The tightness of the interrupted stitches can be modified in each individual thigh, which is particularly important for irregular market wounds.
It is common for a lot of mattresses to leave some scarring. The shape of the scar is sometimes called "train tracks" because sewing leaves the line of tissue scar accompanied by stinging, where the needle entered and stepped into the tissue. If it is possible, the mattress is removed in five to seven days to reduce scarring.
