What are the different types of tomatoes?
Thanks to the large number of tomatoes in the last century, more than six hundred different types of tomato plants are now. Several groups in the family of tomatoes appeared as creating hybrid tomato varieties. Over time, more hybrid combinations are added to many of these groups.
The largest class or group is known as indefinite tomato plants. This group includes most of the varieties that are ideal for a home vegetable garden. Tomatoes in this class produce throughout the summer and continue to produce until the onset of the morning frosts and the cold weather kill the vines. Most of these tomato vineyards require the use of bets and tomatoes to support wine vines, while the tomatoes ripen.
On the other hand, determining tomato plants tends to ripen at the beginning of the season and then stop production. In terms of size and yield, plants in this category are very similar to plants found in the indefinite group. The main differeness is a shorter production period.
tomato tomatoes are also very popular. These include vines that produce small but highly tasty tomatoes that are often used in salads and similar applications. Because wine vines are relatively small in most cases, they can be grown in pots or hanging baskets as easily as in the outer garden. On the vines, however, the dwarf tomatoes are produced, which can grow to the height of the average male and a little behind them. Plant life cycle is short compared to larger varieties, but the yield in this short production period is usually sufficient. Some examples include cherry tomatoes and grape tomatoes.
One of the most famous varieties of tomato plants is the tomato tomato plant. Tomatoes of this type tend to be durable, although the use of bets and cages is usually the best way to keep large and heavy fruit from breaking vines. Tomato slicesBeefsteak are usually large enough to cover a piece of bread with an average size.
While the ragged Beefsteak tomatoes are popular in sandwiches and can also be consumed as one of the topping for hamburgers while they are still green. Green tomatoes are cut into slices, covered with a mixture of flour, salt and pepper, then deeply fried to make it largely in the American south as fried green tomatoes.
Due to the huge number of tomatoes varieties today, many of them are assigned to more than one class or group. Some are ideal for use in cold dishes, while others are more suitable for making tomato pastes or for creating sauces or salsas. Other tomato plants thrive well in hoops and some varieties do not produce well if they are not planted in rich fertile soil and receive a large amount of natural sunlight. This great diversity, as well as access to a variety of tomato products at relatively low prices.
