What is black mulberry?

Black Mulberry, the scientific name of Morus Nigra, is the kind of deciduous tree in the Mulberry family, which bears edible fruit, black mulberry, which some consider the tastiest diversity of fruit. Although the trees are originally natives of Southwest Asia, they were so widely grown for their fruit that they are now also found in the middle of easy and Europe. The fruit of black mulberry trees is often used to produce sweets and canning and is sometimes also in traditional herbal medicine. Tree leaves can also have a role in silk production, because the sheets of mulberries are the only meal to eat storms.

The black mulberry tree usually grows to a height of about 20 to 40 feet (6 to 12 meters) and has bright green, gear leaves. The leaves are covered with small harsh hair. Trees usually bloom in the middle of spring and have small, yellow-green flowers.

When flowers are pollinated, sifted swelling and develop into fruit. Mature black fruit mulberry is dark purple colors, almost reminiscent of small blackberries butIn fact, they're not berries at all. Each fruit is actually a cluster of miniature drupes, which are in the middle of fruit with a fleshy exterior and a large seed, commonly called stone. Fruits are usually ripe and ready to harvest by the end of summer.

Although fruit is not berries, they are often used interchangeably with blackberries during cooking and are often included in recipes for jams, muffins and cakes. In the Middle East and India, they are a popular ingredient for sherbet. Fruit can also be consumed fresh. In traditional herbal medicine, it is said that wine made of black morulks is an effective digestive help. Due to their intense coloring, fruit is sometimes used to produce safe foods in different shades.

Black Mulberry Trees can be grown from seeds, although it usually takes about ten years for the existing trees to begin seeds. Trees are therefore more often grownfrom cut -outs of stem or branches. They prefer to grow in sunny areas, in warm soil, which has a good balance with elements of mud, sand and clay. The trees are usually relatively easy to take care of them, do not require any special watering and only slight pruning that removes dead branches. They are also very resistant to most types of plant pests and diseases.
