What is Sabbatical?

It is easy to see that the word Sabbatical has a relationship to Sabbath and Shabbat. Understanding the connection helps to understand the definition. Sabbath and Shabbat are religiously defined breaks in the Jewish-Christian tradition dating back to the day of rest once a week. Sabbatical takes this concept further and can be a period of rest or more often work that could continue for a year or more. In the university system, university professors can have the right to apply Sabbatical every seven to ten years. Note that there is still a comparison with the seventh day in the seven -year arrangement.

At many universities, people receive a full reward for the time they take off, which may exceed or be less than a year. Since the university supports this holiday, it is not in danger when Sabatical is accepted. Instead, the employer and employer at their necessity.
