What is Baguazhang?

Chinese traditions of martial arts have been passed on for centuries and are still in practice in modern times. From five animal styles of Shaolin kung fu to the charming movements of taijiqian , Chinese martial arts include different techniques. Baguazhang is a style of martial arts that almost exclusively focuses on an avid leg and uses the attacker's power rather than direct attacks. Doctors BA Gua almost always move and are no vulnerability for the attacker. This martial art uses rotary movements to create energy in strokes. The main exercise is called "Walking the Circle". The practitioners assume an attitude to bending-contact and start walking in a circle. Legs Points first perpendicular to the top of the body and each step covers a 45 -degree fraction of the total circle, so the whole circle takes eight steps towards what you compare. When the style focuses on leaks and moving around the opponent, the practitioners should always face in walking around the circle.

Baguazhang relies strongly on fast workThe legs, and so there are few if any kicking techniques. The offensive techniques are limited to eight primary strokes from a deep -rooted attitude. They include strikes with a hand ridge, open palm, including knives and double palm blows. The practitioners of BA Gua can perform these strikes from a permanent position or when moving in both directions along the circle.

More advanced Baguazhang training teaches a student to move in progressively stricter space. At advanced levels, it may seem that someone is practiced by Circle Walk and moves. Some other forms include walking around the figure of eight or completing one rotation and changing the direction of the Moviment. The purpose of Ba Gua is to prepare a martial artist to avoid the attacker or defend against more attackers, and therefore fast shifts in motion and orientation.

Baguazhang includes weapons training with different weapons such as jian , or straight sword; Dao or Single-Floped Saber; Waxwood and Daggers staff. The use of weapons is the basis of virtually all Chinese martial arts because it teaches a student full of awareness of weight distribution and techniques-and many weapons techniques are performed as an empty hand techniques. In the early stages of training, practitioners have iron weights while maintaining a defensive attitude by moving to increase the power of hands and arms. Other curriculum may include weighted vests.
