What is a stuffed camel?

The whole stuffed camel is said to be a Bedouin wedding reception consisting of the whole roast camel, with a nested stuffing of various smaller animals, eggs and other ingredients. It remains unclear whether it is filled with a real food or simply a city myth. While the camel is consumed in some cultures in the Middle East, Arab cuisine generally focuses on lamb and chicken, vegetables and rice that are strongly spicy. In regional American cultures, a similar meal filled with poultry called Turducken is served.

Baking the whole camel would be a huge and demanding business. The amount of food involved would exclude its preparation in something other than outdoor pits, cooking the whole animal along with its padding. According to one written recipe, 20 roast chickens are filled with 60 eggs. Then the sheep is stuffed with chickens and rice and then stuffed with multiple rice camels, various nuts and spices. The whole camel is then placed on the bed of rice and it is time for the guests to eat.

A panty camel would usually be more than enough for a large assembly, such as a Bedouin tribal wedding. These celebrations often last between two and five days, and many family members will gather to participate in the celebrations together with the locals and visitors. In accordance with Arab cuisine, steamed vegetables, breads and many kinds of drinks such as tea, coffee and fruit juices, they accompany camel.

Bedouin people are very welcome to guests because they are also considered to be guests of Allah. This faith is comparable to the Christian idea that loving treatment of others honor God. Although there is no hard and quick record of Bedouin hosts who serve the whole stuffed camel, they often cook whole goats in an underground oven known as zarp .

TURDUCKEN is a smaller version of a stuffed Camel, using a chicken inside the duck, inside the turkey. This meal is popular in American southern cuisine. ChefThey often use maize stuffing between birds, rather than using a layer of rice. Variations include Pigturducken-Turducken inside a boneless pig that uses gaming birds instead of a home hen, as well as hotchken, or a poor man, a chicken filled with stomach. There are many varieties of this type of layered meat that can be cooked in a similar way.
